Chick-Fil-A
Alright. I’ve had just about enough of the Chick-Fil-A drama bullshit. I know I do NOT speak for all Christians or equal rights supporters when I say the following:
There is nothing wrong with wanting equal rights. As a Christian, it is not my place to DENY you equal rights. In fact, I am in support of equal rights. Taking rights away, that’s not what My God would want. Others should know we’re followers of God by our love for others, not outlandish profound HATE. If you perpetuate hate against any person, you are not following what God wants for us. No where in the Bible does it say, “Love everyone, except groups X,Y, and Z” Not to mention the usage of God’s word to perpetuate hate really isn’t high on God’s favorite things list.
So I am announcing:
I am a Christian, a follower of God who tries to be a loving, supportive person. I can’t say that I am all the time, because let’s face it I’m human. I am also a support of equal rights. Who are we to say that just because you do not believe that which I believe, I am to deny you rights? All that I request is that we both show each other respect.
